A casual fan of giraffes, I am currently finishing up a degree in Music Education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Throughout my years at UNL I have been involved in a variety of ensembles, such as Jazz Singers, University Singers, Big Red Singers, Chamber Singers, Bathtub Dogs, and Varsity Men’s Chorus, holding leadership positions in several of these.
I grew up in Freeman, SD, and began taking piano lessons at the age of six. I was fortunate to be raised in a musical family in a musical town, which resulted in many musical opportunities, including participation in community theater, as well as participation in various honor ensembles.
After I enrolled in UNL’s Glenn Korff School of Music, I began arranging for multiple ensembles as well as dabbling in composition. While I primarily arrange and compose for choral and a cappella ensembles, I look forward to branching out and expanding my expertise. I also stay active with community theater, participating in shows at Pinewood Bowl as well as The STAGE Theater.
When I’m not sitting at my computer entering notes into Finale®, I enjoy watching movies, spending time with friends, and working the drive-thru at Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers in Lincoln.
